The 2-hectare Malbec block is located high along the Simonsberg hill in the Vrede en Lust Estate winery and was planted in 1997.
For many years, this Malbec variety was blended into the award-winning Bordeaux-style blend Boet Erasmus.
In the taste you will find cherries, rich red berries, mulberries, blackberries with a pleasant explosion of fruit on the palate.
The grapes go through a daily cold soaking, after which fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
The grapes are then pressed before malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels until bottling.
