(sandalwood, cigar box, graphite) and tea herbs.
This red blend features fresh acidity and balance, suggesting good aging and flavour refinement for at least ten years.
The name Ansel is inspired by a true love story. Ansela was born into slavery in the Cape
(her mother was a West African slave, her white father most likely a servant of the Dutch East India Company).
Ansela lived in the infamous Slave Lodge and worked in the Company's garden until her release in 1695,
when Laurens Campher brought her home to the Muratie farm where they lived together with their three children.
This Bordeaux-style red blend represents the triumph of perseverance and patience, celebrating the importance of family.
