Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a complex wine with blackcurrants, spices, ripe plums and an attractive woody aroma and taste.
This wine is full and rich with bold tannins that bode well for future aging.
The grapes were selected from the Rooiland and Stonepine vineyards in Vergelegen. All these vineyards are oriented north to northwest,
with granite, Hutton and Clovelly soils.
VINIFICATION
Cabernet was fermented in open and closed tanks at high temperatures (28-32°C) and pumped every 6 hours,
to maximize color and tannin extraction. The wine spent 18 months in barrel; 40% new oak from coopers Taransaud, Darnajou and Sylvain.
